In early 2013, James Corbett did a series of interviews with FBI whistleblower Sibel Edmonds on "Gladio B," the West's closer-than-one-would-think relationship with radical Islam. In the Q&A in the last instalment, a listener asked Edmonds about "blowback." Edmonds had known many Saudi princes when she was in college in D.C., and she offers some insight into their personal unlikelihood as attackers of the U.S. (Admittedly, this doesn't rule out the possibility of a "rogue" clique in the Saudi hierarchy, any more than this can be done for the U.S.)

In the case of the claim that Saudi Arabia was behind 9-11, what should be there and isn't is a motive for Saudi Arabia to do something like that...Saudi Arabia does not have a history of dirty tricks [referring to, e.g., Israel's involvement in the Lavon Affair, the U.S.S. Liberty attack, and the fake Libyan radio broadcasts], nor a demonstrated ability to carry out such deceptions. More to the point, Saudi Arabia has no motive to attack the United States...."
